So my 6 year old daughter had her first dentist appt on Monday. She has already lost 2 teeth and has 2 more wigglies on the bottom. She has been asking to go for a while now (silly girl). Poor thing has 2 little cavities in teeth that are going to be there until she is 11, so they need to be taken care of. Big drama for the night - do we get them filled now or wait a while.
I have consulted with other mommies at work and the consensus is go ahead and get them taken care of now. Glad to hear it, since that was my first instinct. M made me second guess myself.
On a positive note, she loved going and M said that the lady who worked with her was incredible. Whew! I picked a good dentist.

My C is the only one whose had cavities and she did really well. Thank God because M would have melted down and I'd still be fighting to hold her in the dentist's chair. How does your C do with shots? Can she be a big girl all brave and stuff? If so, she'll be fine with this too. If not, ask for laughing gas!
She is fine... or at least has been. It has been a little bit since she has had any shots. But she always loved going to the doctor no matter what they did to her. And there have been a couple of ER visits and they did traumatize her either.
